
Kim W. West is a Partner in the San Francisco office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP. Mr. West practices in the area of insurance coverage, principally focusing on the representation of insurers in connection with claims made under directors and officers liability and professional liability policies, including policies for financial institutions. He has represented both domestic and international insurers in connection with securities fraud class actions, shareholder derivative actions, employment and discrimination claims, and professional liability claims, including the following matters:

*Adelphia
*Mutual fund "market timing" and "late trading"
*Insurance broker contingent commission
*Options backdating
*Sub-prime finance
In addition to acting as coverage and monitoring counsel, Mr. West continues to represent insurers in complex coverage litigation.
Mr. West is a member of the State Bar of California. He has conducted seminars for attorneys on topics such as securities litigation, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, complex class action litigation, and U.S. securities law exposure for non-U.S. corporations.
Mr. West also has assisted D&O underwriters in drafting policy forms and specific endorsements.
