Kevin M. Young

Kevin M. Young is a Partner in the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP. He is a trial lawyer whose practice emphasizes insurance coverage, products liability, construction, business torts, class actions, commercial and aviation litigation. Kevin was born in Detroit, Michigan and has lived and worked in Connecticut, Washington, D.C., and Cleveland, OH. His representation of clients has included international arbitration in Geneva, Switzerland, as well as representing clients in other less exotic spots in the United States. Kevin has represented insurance carriers in bad faith and coverage issues for nearly 25 years. The cases included mass tort, asbestos, and lead paint coverage cases, as well as coverage and bad faith claims arising out of General Liability Policies, Director and Officer Policies and Specialty coverages. Kevin has also litigated matters involving the construction of Progressive Field and the Cleveland Browns Stadium, as well as numerous other state and local construction projects. He has represented major air carriers and corporations in products liability matters. Kevin has also litigated commercial contract cases in courts throughout Ohio. In addition, Kevin was responsible for coordinating and managing the defense of over 90 lawsuits arising out of a concrete terrace collapse.

Kevin is a frequent faculty member at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy where he instructs and lectures on taking and defending depositions and trial skills. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Case Western Reserve School of Law, where he teaches courses in Trial Tactics and the counseling and representation of clients. Kevin has been selected annually by his peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America in the field of Commercial Litigation since 2006.
