
Kathleen A. Atkinson is an Associate in the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP and a member of the Trial Department. Kathy focuses her practice primarily on pharmaceutical litigation and medical malpractice. Kathy has been published in the Cleveland Bar Journal and has presented educational seminars to medical professionals in the areas of liability and risk management.
Kathy received her law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in December 2001, where she was Senior Editor of the Cleveland State Law Review. She received her B.S.B.A. from the University of Dayton in 1995. She is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.
Smith v. Gill, Common Pleas Court for Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Medical malpractice action against physician dismissed on summary judgment due to technical failure of plaintiff to preserve statute of limitations. Affirmed on Appeal 2010.
Foster v. National Emergency Services, Common Pleas Court for Lorain County, Ohio. Wrongful death medical malpractice action alleging a failure to diagnose an impending cardiac arrest. Jury trial 2008.
