John K. Son

John K. Son is Counsel in the Los Angeles office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP. He is a member of the Trial Department and practices in the areas of mass tort, professional and products liability, and business litigation.

John represents a variety of corporate clients, including manufacturers of HVAC equipment, aircraft and aircraft engines, space propulsion systems, elevators and escalators, industrial electrical components, and other product manufacturers, shipbuilders, and suppliers of pumps and valves in state and federal court, primarily in the areas of product liability and toxic tort defense. He is also experienced in construction defect and general business litigation matters. John is an active member in the firm’s diversity pipeline project which provides law, business, and government training to students at an inner city high school in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

John graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Economics, and earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School where he was an editor and a published author for the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review and a member of the St. Thomas Moore Law Honor Society. John externed for the Honorable Arthur Alarcón of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Fumiko H. Wasserman in the Appellate Division of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
