
John A. Simon is Counsel in the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP. John is a trial lawyer with extensive experience handling cases involving catastrophic injuries and complex medical issues. John dedicates a substantial amount of his work to professional liability litigation and the defenses of companies in product liability cases. John has represented various health care providers and facilities including physicians, research specialists, hospitals, long-term care facilities, non-profit agencies, and other health related entities. John has tried multiple cases to defense verdicts as lead lawyer or first chair counsel. He has successfully defended wrongful death and punitive damage claims. He has also preserved positive outcomes and results on appeal in several appellate courts.
While in law school, John completed an externship with the Honorable Ann Aldrich in the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio. After law school, he completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable T. Patton in the Eighth District Court of Appeals. John has given lectures and presentations to physicians and health care providers on various topics including medical liability.
John was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, where he currently lives with his wife and two daughters. Outside of the office, he enjoys time with his family and attending his daughters' soccer and volleyball games. John stays active by running regularly and occasionally playing a round of golf.
