
John Doheny is a Partner in the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP. He is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on personal injury suits, wrongful death cases, trucking accidents and products liability litigation, including asbestos and pharmaceutical cases. He is also active in the prosecution and defense of white-collar criminal cases, fire subrogation cases and legal malpractice cases. He does criminal defense work. Over the past thirty-six years, John has defended numerous individuals and corporations in state and federal court.
Mr. Doheny served as a law clerk to the Honorable Alvin I. Krenzler of the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals for two years. He is a former criminal prosecutor for Cuyahoga County, Ohio, who personally tried numerous felony cases. He is also a former Assistant Director of Law for the City of Cleveland, Ohio, where he represented the Cleveland Police Department and its officers in lawsuits in state and federal court. Mr. Doheny is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. He does volunteer work for the Cleveland Homeless Legal Assistance Program.
