Jeffry L. Weiler

Jeffry L. Weiler practices in the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP, where he focuses on Estate Planning & Probate. Mr. Weiler is well known for his estate planning work and in helping to create estate-related Ohio law. He was a proponent, originator, and Ohio State Bar Association representative to the Ohio General Assembly concerning Bills for Ohio funeral and burial arrangements (right of disposition Bill) and signing wills (conscious presence). Jeffry is a Martindale-Hubbell AV® Preeminent™ rated attorney, the highest such peer review rating available to any individual lawyer.  In 2004, he received the Distinguished Estate Planner Award, presented by The Estate Planning Council of Cleveland.

Mr. Weiler is admitted to practice law in Ohio and Florida. He is an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in estate planning, trust, and probate law and a Florida Bar Board Certified Tax Specialist, CPA, and former IRS Agent. He is a prolific writer and presenter, a member of numerous bar committees and associations, and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

A man with many interests, Jeffry has served as Chair of the Cleveland Museum of Art Planned Giving Council, is an avid skier, served as a photo journalist at the 2009 U.S. Figure Skating Association National Championships, and is First Vice-President of the Cleveland International Piano Competition.
