Frank R. Osborne

Frank R. Osborne is Counsel in the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP. Frank’s legal career has taken him from an Ohio Court of Appeals Clerkship to appearances before state and federal courts inside and outside Ohio, representing individuals and companies primarily in business-related trials and appeals. In recent years, he has concentrated upon such matters as non-competition agreements, trade secret law, and antitrust, unfair competition, and contract interference claims. He currently divides his substantive practice among appeals, motion practice and in large-case litigation teams.

Having been mentored by the late Judge John V. Corrigan of the Ohio Court of Appeals, who was instrumental in the adoption of the Ohio Civil Rules, Frank has a special interest in civil procedure and trial practice. Having taught Ohio Civil Procedure as an Adjunct Professor at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law for more than ten years, Frank now devotes a substantial amount of his professional time to his role as TEW’s Director of Associate Career Planning and Development, coordinating the firm’s training and mentoring programs.

Frank is a lifetime Clevelander. He is a member of the federal and local bar associations and lectures on topics ranging from civil and appellate procedure to trade secret law.

Frank and his wife Charlotte are the parents of eight children and are enjoying the freedom of an “empty nest” and the joys of grandchildren.
