Christopher J. Caryl

Christopher Caryl is a Partner in the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP. Chris practices primarily in the area of products liability and toxic and mass tort. He currently serves as national coordinating counsel for a major international corporation in mass tort litigation and is actively involved in defending corporations in Ohio and other states. He has represented manufacturers of a variety of consumer and industrial products, including elevators, air conditioners, furnaces, lawn mowers, motor homes, air compressors, bicycles, and automotive products. Chris has also defended financial institutions and product manufacturers against consumer law claims, including Ohio's lemon law, Consumer Sales Practices Act, Magnuson Moss Warranty Act, etc.

Chris graduated cum laude from Muhlenberg College in 1993 with a philosophy degree. In 1998, he graduated cum laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where he served as editor of the Journal of Law and Health. His law note, entitled "Malpractice and the Other Legal Issues Preventing the Development of Telemedicine," which was published in the Journal of Law and Health¸ has been referenced by numerous publications since it was release in 1998. Chris is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Chris has published several articles on the topics of product liability and legal ethics and has presented for CLE.

Chris has built homes with Habitat for Humanity and has represented indigent clients for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.   Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and children as well as running and hiking.
